Owen Braben

Owen's work on television includes the landmark comedy documentaries Vicar of Dibley : Inside Out (co-produced with Richard Curtis), Absolutely Fabulous : Inside Out (co-produced with Jennifer Saunders), and Blackadder : The Lost Pilot (co-produced with Richard Curtis). 

He’s made panel shows (Have I Got News For You), arts programming (Sky Arts’ Big Hay Weekend), and branded content (Lego : Kids Rebuild The Future).

On radio, he’s the creator and executive producer of BBC Radio 4’s What’s Funny About… with Peter Fincham and Jon Plowman, which is returning for its fourth series in 2025. 

He’s made programmes that have been garlanded with critical acclaim, and that high profile talent,  executives, and broadcasters have all delighted in and purred about. 

That said, he’s also been the recipient of a zero star review, which concluded with the line “this is the single worst show that’s been on anywhere in England in the entirety of the year”.

So, all in all, a mixed bag.
